Will this fit my specific vehicle make, model, and year?

Every Fuvymyt dash cam is custom-engineered for an exact vehicle make, model, and year range. We currently support 60+ vehicle models across brands including Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet, RAM, GMC, Jeep, Honda, Hyundai, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Lexus, Genesis, Volvo, Cadillac, Mazda, Acura, Dodge, and Polestar.

To verify fit, simply select your vehicle on the product page. Each listing clearly states the compatible year range. If your vehicle is listed, the camera is guaranteed to fit — every unit is precision-molded for that specific model.

Which vehicle brands do you currently support?

What does "OEM-style" mean? How is it different from a regular dash cam?

"OEM-style" means the camera is designed to look and fit like it came from the factory. Instead of a suction-cup or adhesive-mounted box on your windshield, the Fuvymyt dash cam replaces your factory rearview mirror cover with a precision-engineered housing that contains the camera module.

The result: no suction cups, no adhesive pads, no exposed wires, and no clutter on your dashboard. In testing, 94% of passengers could not tell the camera was there.

Is the rear camera included, or is it front-only?

We offer two options for each vehicle:

Will it block my view or interfere with my rearview mirror?

No. The camera mounts behind the rearview mirror inside a custom housing, completely out of your line of sight. It only replaces the cosmetic cover around the mirror — it does not interfere with auto-dimming or digital rearview mirror functions. Customers with digital rearview mirrors (such as the RAM 1500) have confirmed everything works perfectly.

Does it come with an SD card? What's in the box?

How to get your dash cam installed and connected — no mechanic needed.

How difficult is the installation? Can I do it myself?

Installation is 100% DIY. Most drivers finish in under 20 minutes, and many report it taking as little as 7–10 minutes. No mechanic, no electrician, and no dealership appointment is needed. What are the installation steps?

Four simple steps:

  • 3. Download the app — Connect via Wi-Fi, preview live footage, and customize settings in under 60 seconds.

Do I need any special tools?

No. All vehicle-specific tools are included in the box. You don't need to purchase or supply anything extra.

Will there be any visible wires after installation?

No. The wiring harness routes inside your vehicle's existing trim and panels. Once installed, there are zero visible wires — giving you a clean, factory-finished look.

Is there a video guide for my specific vehicle?

Yes. Every order includes a QR code linking to a video walkthrough specific to your vehicle make and model. Watch it on your phone right next to your car while you install.

Can I remove it later without damaging my vehicle?

Yes. The camera snaps onto the rearview mirror housing without permanent adhesive, cutting, or drilling. You can reverse the installation and restore the factory mirror cover at any time with no damage to your vehicle.

What is the SmartSync™ app and what can it do?

SmartSync™ is the free companion app (iOS and Android) that connects to your dash cam via Wi-Fi. It lets you:

  • View live footage from your camera
  • Download clips directly to your phone
  • Receive motion alerts when activity is detected while parked
  • Manage your cloud storage
  • Replay trips with GPS route tracking
Do I need the app to use the dash cam?

The app is optional but recommended. Your dash cam will record and store footage on the SD card without it. However, the app unlocks live viewing, cloud backup, motion alerts, and GPS replay.

How does the camera connect to my phone?

Via Wi-Fi. When you open the SmartSync™ app near your vehicle, it establishes a direct wireless connection — no internet or cellular data is required for the local connection.

What kind of video quality can I expect?

All Fuvymyt dash cams record in 4K Ultra HD using a Sony sensor with HDR. License plates are readable from up to 50 feet, and the camera adapts to changing light and motion conditions in real time — day or night.

How does it perform at night or in low light?

The Sony sensor with HDR adapts to low-light conditions in real time, producing clear footage during nighttime driving. Exposure and contrast adjust automatically so you always get usable recordings.

Does the camera start recording automatically?

Yes. It powers on and begins recording every time you start your engine. No buttons to press, nothing to remember — it runs silently in the background.

Does it detect and record collisions or impacts?

Yes. The built-in impact sensor detects collisions and significant bumps and locks that footage so it can't be overwritten. Critical evidence is always preserved.

Where is my footage stored?

Fuvymyt uses the TripleShield™ 3-way backup system:

  • SD Card — Local storage on the included high-endurance card

Can I access footage when I'm away from my vehicle?

Cloud-stored footage can be accessed from anywhere through the SmartSync™ app. For footage on the SD card only, you'll need to be within Wi-Fi range of the camera (near your vehicle).

Does the dash cam record GPS or route data?

Yes. The SmartSync™ app includes GPS route replay, so you can view the exact route and location of any recorded trip — valuable for insurance claims or incident documentation.

What is parking mode and how does it work?

SmartProtect™ parking mode activates automatically when your engine shuts off. It monitors for bumps, touches, or movement around your vehicle. When something is detected, it records the event and sends an instant alert to your phone.

Will parking mode drain my car battery?

No. Parking mode uses intelligent power management that enters a low-power state. It only fully activates when motion or impact is detected, preserving your car battery.

Can it capture hit-and-runs or door dings while parked?

Yes — that's exactly what SmartProtect™ is designed for. When it detects an impact or motion near your parked vehicle, it automatically records the event and sends an alert to your phone.

Can it handle extreme heat or cold?

Yes. All Fuvymyt cameras use automotive-grade components that are heat-tested, vibration-tested, and rated for extreme temperatures — from Arizona summers to Minnesota winters.

Can dash cam footage be used for insurance claims?

Yes. Dash cam footage is widely accepted for insurance claims and police reports. Fuvymyt's 4K resolution captures details like license plates, faces, and road conditions clearly. GPS route replay also provides location context to support your claim.
